NASFAT Distributes Food Items To Thousand Of Kaduna Residents

Following the enforcement on the use of face masks in Kaduna state,  necessitated by the need to curtail Coronavirus pandemic, Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT), Kaduna Branch has distributed over a thousand of the item to Kaduna residents to curtail the spread of the deadly disease.
While distributing the face masks to the residents, NASFAT also sensitized members of the public on the use of the masks.
Also, in an effort to alleviate the sufferings of many vulnerable people in various communities as a result of the stay-at-home order, the Islamic organisation distributed food items at various locations within Kaduna metropolis to vulnerable members of the public.
The food items distributed include: Rice, Beans and Garri.
Speaking to newsmen during the exercise, the Branch Chairman, Engr. Muyideen Yusuf, disclosed that the mass distribution of the face masks is to support the efforts of the state government in the fight against the spread of Coronavirus in the state.
” Sensitising the public on the use of the face masks is very important, having understood that many people still find it difficult on how to properly use the face masks, and it becomes necessary for NASFAT to sensitize members of the public as we are distributing it to them”.
On the distribution of food items, Yusuf said: ” it is part of NASFAT to distribute food items especially during Ramadan since its creation, but this year’s gestures came with the distribution of face masks due to the Coronavirus pandemic”.
Engr. Muyideen urged well-to-do individuals and organizations to help the needy at this crucial time to sustain lives and livelihoods in the society and pray for the quick recovery of all people that were affected by the pandemic.
The Chairman Planing Committee, Alh AbdulWaheed Amusa explained that the mass distribution of the face masks  to Kaduna residents is to curtail communities transmission.
” In this project, we are targeting 3000 people in Kaduna state. This is the first phase of the project, which is targeting 1000 people,” Amusa said.
Earlier, the Imam of NASFAT Kaduna Zone, Maarooph Raji
called for sober reflection, intensified efforts and prayers towards complete elimination of the COVID-19 pandemic.
