Yulitide: Group to deploy 2000 volunteers to churches, worship centres in Bauchi.

 

A private security organisation Searchlight Initiative for Community Peace Advocacy and Rural Development (SICPARDN) based in Bauchi has reinstated its commitment by deploying two thousand volunteers at churches and worship centres towards complementing the efforts of the conventional security agencies across the north eastern region.

 

 

This was disclosed to the newsmen by the deputy controller general, Ezekiel Azi Ajiji during a press briefing in his office, Thursday in Bauchi, noting that peace and security is everyone business
hence the need to put hand together towards in improving and ensuring free-crime society in the region.

 

 

Ajiji, said the aims and objectives of the organisation was to promote community development at the grassroots through peace and advocacy campaign there by engaging the youth to become self- reliance in the modern Agricultural technology.

As well as to collaborate with all relevant stakeholders towards bringing lasting peace and sustainable solutions.

 

 

He however said, “We have made all the necessary and adequate arrangements towards deploying two thousand volunteers across the state towards providing security to the Christian brothers and sisters before, during and after the yulitude season”,

“Our region North East was been characterized by the activities of the bandits, kidnappers, boko haram insurgents and other criminal activities, hence, the need to deploy volunteers to compliments efforts of our security agencies towards reducing the rate in the state.

 

 

Corroborating, the Assistant Comptroller General public affairs, Mr Adewale Adelasoje said apart from the peace and security support being rendered, the organisation is planning to engage thousands of teaming youth into morden Agricultural farming through the means of technological innovation in the state, and later to spread its across the region.

Added that the organisation is also making effort towards collaborating with relevant development partners on providing necessary security tips on ways to prevent themselves against any attack by unknown.

 

 

Also, speaking, the chief of staff in the organisation, Adamu Ishaq said that adequate training was given to the volunteers who were going to deploy at the various centres across the state to provide intelligent information gathering.
