His Excellency, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Masari, Special Adviser to the President on Political and Other Matters, joined Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, at the official flag-off ceremony for the distribution of humanitarian palliatives to Muslim communities across the nineteen Northern States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Also in attendance at the event were the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency Senator Uba Sani; the Executive Governor of Yobe State, His Excellency Mai Mala Buni; the Executive Governor of Imo State, His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodimma; and the Executive Governor of Jigawa State, His Excellency Umar Namadi. Other State Governors were duly represented at the event, alongside the Wives of State Governors.
The ceremony further attracted the presence of the Deputy President of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Barau I. Jibrin, alongside Members of the National Assembly and State Houses of Assembly, Heads of Government Agencies, distinguished Islamic leaders, community leaders, as well as members of the National and State Committees responsible for the implementation of the programme.
The event, held at the Brigadier General Abba Kyari Banquet Hall, Kaduna, forms a key component of the Federal Government’s social intervention efforts. The humanitarian palliative programme is an initiative of the Office of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in collaboration with the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Political and Other Matters.
In their remarks, speakers underscored the importance of compassion, national unity, and responsive leadership as critical drivers of effective governance, noting that the palliative distribution represents a strategic effort to cushion current socio-economic challenges and strengthen grassroots impact.
In his remarks, His Excellency, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Masari, emphasized that the initiative reflects the administration’s deep commitment to the welfare of all Nigerians, particularly the most vulnerable. He noted that the programme is not merely a policy effort, but a practical roadmap for delivering relief, restoring dignity, and improving livelihoods across the country. He further urged stakeholders to ensure transparency, accountability, and equitable distribution of the palliatives to intended beneficiaries.
He also commended the First Lady for her exemplary leadership and sustained dedication to humanitarian causes, describing the programme as a clear demonstration of compassionate governance in action.
The distribution exercise is expected to benefit thousands of households across Northern Nigeria and the FCT, further reinforcing the administration’s resolve to promote inclusive growth, social stability, and national development.
