Nigeria and Morocco to sustain cooperation on agriculture, energy, others- Ambassador 

 Amb. Albashir Alhussaini, Nigeria’s Ambassador to Morocco says Nigeria and Morocco will sustain their existing relationship in the sectors of agriculture, energy, socio-cultural development and empowerment, among others.
Alhussaini stated this on Wednesday when he visited the ancient city of Fez, with rich and historical heritage in Morocco for a two day visit.
This is contained in a statement from the Chancery, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco.
Alhussani was quoted as stating that, the relations between Nigeria and Morocco was at its greater heights and expressed hope the countries would continue to cooperate in the sectors
During the visit, the Envoy was received by the Secretary-General of the Mohamed VI Foundation for African Oulema, Dr Muhammad Rifqi, alongside the Vice Chancellor of Al-Karaouine University, Dr Idris Alfassy.
The Ambassador was first taken to the historic Al-Karaouine University located in the heart of Fez, where he toured the university’s library, mosque, and laboratory.
Al-Karaouine University was founded as a mosque by Fatima al-Fihri in 857–859 and subsequently became one of the leading spiritual and educational centers of the Islamic Golden Age.
 The university’s library boasts of centuries-old text manuscripts.
UNESCO and Guinness World Records list Al-Karaouine University as the oldest university or oldest continually operating higher learning institution in the world.
At the headquarters of the Mohamed VI Foundation, Rifqi presented a souvenir to Alhussaini, pledging more collaboration between the Foundation and Nigeria.
 Rifqy mentioned the existing cultural and educational exchange program by the Foundation, of which hundreds of Nigerians are beneficiaries.
Large number of Nigerians benefited from the Foundation which was established in 2015.
 The Foundation held a symposium in 2021 on African Islamic Heritage in Abuja.
