KASUPDA LAUNCHES NEW CONTAINERS

The Director General of the Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Authority( KASUPDA), Bldr. Abdurrahman Yahya, Ph.D has launched a sample of modern containers designed to curtail informal business activities in the state.

In a News statement Release and  issued to the media in Kaduna  by the Assistant Director, Public Affairs Unit of the Authority, Nuhu Garba Dan’ayamaka stated that an agreement was signed between KASUPDA and two Consultants namely: Shelter Method Limited and Icart African for the provision of the containers.

The DG explained that KASUPDA came with the initiative based on the commitment and concern of His Excellency, Sen. Uba Sani on those carrying out informal business activities along the roads set-backs in the urban areas of the state with a view to formalizing such businesses.

KASUPDA is mandated with the urban planning responsibility, as such the innovation will provide a plan that will ensure beautification, safe and decongestion of the city as well improve small business activities in the state.

The DG further stated that the two assigned Consultants will provide the modern containers to all interested hawkers  approved for such trading activities in an agreed and affordable prices.

The Authority is hereby calling on all the affected traders to look for a suitable locations and apply to KASUPDA for further necessary actions the release added.

The two assigned Consultants, Shelter Method Limited and Icart African noted that their commitments were in view of the effort put in place by His Excellency, Mal. Uba Sani on assisting the common people in the state.

While commending Governor Uba Sani on this direction, the Consultants pledged determination to contribute their best towards achieving the set-objectives.
