Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Authority(KASUPDA) has pledged its commitment to grant buildings permission on quarter plots regularization layouts in the state.
The Director General of the Authority, Dr Abdurrahman Yahya disclosed this during a stakeholder’s engagement programme with the communities of Keke A/Keke B and Danhonu ii which held at LEA Primary School, Danbushiya in Millennum City.
The DG who was represented by the Assistant Director in KASUPDA, TPL. Evelyn Yusuf maintained that the passionate commitment and concern of His Excellency, Sen. Uba Sani, in view of the economic hardship, government has reduced the penalty rates for the as built development payable to KASUPDA for residential bungalow and deplex of N1, 000,000 and that of N1,500,000 now approved to pay N100, 000 and N150,000 to enable the quarter plots areas obtain their buildings permission.
In a statement Signed by Nuhu Garba Dan’ayamaka, MNIPR (Assistant Director Public Affairs Unit), (KASUPDA) revealed that
He further explained that both As – Built and Propose developments required Architectural design and Site Analysis Report(SAR) for the residential bungalow, while for the duplex apart from above required Mechanical and Electrical designs(M&E).
The statement listed Sales Agreement, District Head Confirmation Letter, Community’s Confirmation Letter and Court’s Affidavit as the documents required for the approval.
The Head of the Stakeholders Unit in KASUPDA, TPL. Deborah David said their layouts will be display for them to know the boundaries so as to avoid encrochment.
She therefore called on the communities to give maximum cooperation to the KASUPDA’s staff in charged of the areas for achieving same goals.
In his remark, Sarkin Danbushiya, Alh. Mukhtar Haruna noted the initiative as good development and timely which their people were much waiting for.
The traditional leader therefore commended KASUPDA for the initiative.
While calling his people to use the opportunity given to them, he as well expressed their appreciation to Governor Mal. Uba Sani on this gesture.
The programme featured interactive session where comments, questions and answers on processes, boundaries, sales of plots and among others were fully discussed and addressed.
