NDLEA Seek Journalists Support On Public Enlightenment On Danger Of Drug Abuse

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA Zaria office seek Journalists support and cooperation on enlighten the public the dangers of drug abuse in the community.
Muhammad Shi’aibu, Assistant Commander Norcutics of the Agency who is also In charge of Drugs demand Reduction Unit, Kaduna State Command Zaria office make the call in his office when he received the NUJ Zaria Unit executive members on a courtesy call.
He media is very important organization that will assist them in discharging their duties effectively and bring down the drug abuse and demanding to the bearest minimum rate.
Asst. Commander Shi’aibu maintained that without the media nothing can be successful because nobody will know what is happening around his Community and the state.
He assured the Journalists that the long working relationship between them will be active very well more than before since we need the services of each other.
He also appealed to community leaders, traditional leaders and other stakeholders to support them and give them the maximum cooperation by given them credible information of were drugs demand and consumption is taking place for addressing the situation immediately.
Shi’aibu said his unit is saddle with the responsibility of drugs demand reduction but they are not arresting nor stop and search operation.
Earlier in his remarks, the Vice Chairman of the NUJ Zaria Unit Comrade Sani Aliyu who led the executive members reminded the Commander that Journalists have a long history of relationship with the NDLEA in the state before moving the state headquarters to Kaduna from Zaria.
Comrade Aliyu assured the Commander of the Journalists full support and cooperation as well they too should cooperate with them whenever the need arise.
