The RAIN Healthcare Initiative and Good Leadership, an independent Non Governmental Organisation(NGO) has urged stakeholders in healthcare delivery service to be more committed to improving health status and wellbeing of the citizenry.
Executive Director of the NGO, Mr Usman Hamza made the call at it maiden round table meeting held in Sokoto to fast track and unveil it activities that borders on supporting the girl child education initiatives and providing access to healthcare services for girls and women.
According to him, the initiative was basically human oriented towards accelerating deserved interventions and support to target persons and socially disadvantaged individuals and groups.
” Is also aimed at developing policies and programs to improve the lives of orphans and persons with disabilities, including access to healthcare services and to collaborate with government and other agencies in ensuring rapid development for the masses, including healthcare infrastructure development”, he explained.
Hamza also disclosed that the initiative has as part of it objectives , designed capacity oriented plans and programmes that would provide space for training, seminars, workshop engagements as well promote self-reliance, healthy lifestyles and disease prevention and control among communities.
Meanwhile, the inaugural round table meeting to deepen and strengthen the mission and vision of the NGO had in attendance among others: Muhammad Nasir Sokoto Secretary and Muhammad Bello Abdulkadir Coordinator, Sensitization and Mobilization.
Others are Hali Abubakar Musa Project Coordinator, Healthcare, Garba Muhd Esq. Legal Advisor and Nafi’u Muhammad Lema Coordinator, Communications and New Media Engagements among others.
