Kebbi State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Mamuda Muhammad Warra has today paid a visit to media houses in the state, as part of effort to familiarize himself with Boards and parastatal under his watch.
The Commissioner who commended the media houses for their commitments to the propagation of government policies and programmes, said more efforts are need to educate and enlighten the policies on government agricultural, health care and infrastructure.
Mamuda Warra said Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu is partnering with development partners and committed to the industrialization of the state and creation of jobs to the youth as well as empowerment of the women through various intervention which the media need to propagate.
The Commission in company of the Permanent Secretary Alhaji Garba Hamisu Zuru, Directors and staff of the Ministry were at the Radio Nigeria Equity FM, Kebbi Radio, Kebbi Television, History Bureau and Government Printing Press was received by the General Managers and Directors respectively.
Speaking separately, the general managers commended Governor Atiku Bagudu for the digitalization of the state media stations in line with the federal government policy, called for more support to the stations to enhance their operation.
They inform the Commissioner of their separate challenges and solicit for more support from the government to enable them disseminate it policies and programmes.
High point of the Commissioner’s visit was the inspection of the transmitter room, transmitting studios, generating plant and other facilities across all the media and others
