THE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE BAUCHI STATE POLICE COMMAND CP LAWAN TANKO JIMETA psc, ORDERED FOR DEPLOYMENT OF ANTI-RIOT POLICE UNIT (MOBILE POLICE FORCE) ACROSS THE STATE.
In line with the Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, NPM, mni directives for the deployment of anti-riot officers to protect lives and properties, critical infrastructure nationwide. The Commissioner of Police Bauchi State Command CP Lawan Tanko Jimeta psc, directed the anti- riot Commanders domiciled in the State to ensure compliance and warn their men to be firm and professional while discharging their duty.
2. In view of the increasing attacks and malicious damage to public and private facilities as recorded in some States the CP charges all the area commanders/Divisional Police Officers(DPO) to be at alert and ensure frequent supervision of men under their jurisdiction.
3. The CP while reaffirming his irrevocable commitment towards the successful and holistic implementation of the Police reforms by Police management team, LT. Jimeta enjoins members of the public, particularly protesting citizens to exercise restraint and allow measures being put in place to come to fruition and engender a Police Force that would meet the yearnings and aspirations of the citizenry.
4. While reassuring members of the public, the command is committed to protect lives and livelihood and also seek for the support of religious leaders, Youth leaders, and Civil Society Organization. equally advice parent/guardians to caution their wards to steer-clear of acts of violence and criminality as the command will not hesitate to mobilizing all resources within to confront and neutralize their criminal acts and tendencies.
