Governor Buni Swears In Two New Perm Secs

The Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni swore in two new Permanent Secretaries, Ibrahim Adamu Jajere and Mohammed Inuwa Gulani along with the State Auditor General Mai Aliyu Umar Gulani, Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Sule Ado and the Chairman Pilgrims Service Commission, Mai Aliyu Usman Biriri among other members today at WAWA HALL Damaturu government House.
In his address, Governor Mai Mala Buni urged the new appointees to justify the confidence reposed on them by adding value to governance in order to improve service delivery in the state.
The governor admonished them to abide by the oath of allegiance and contribute to the success of the government at large.
“We have just witnessed the swearing-into office of the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries, and other Senior Government Officials to contribute and add value to the good governance, and service delivery agenda of our administration”.
According to him “The officers were carefully selected and appointed based on merit best on their wealth of experience, integrity, diligence, and loyalty. I am convinced that they have a lot to offer to our reform programme to improve service delivery in the state ”.
“The Governor urge the two Permanent Secretaries Ibrahim Adamu Jajere of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, and Mohammed Inuwa Gulani of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism to discharge their duties with an extra commitment to support this administration to serve the people of Yobe state successfully”.
“He also charged the newly appointed the chairman and Permanent Commissioners of the Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Sule Ado, Alhaji Waziri Yerima, Mallam Kyari Batarama, Alhaji Jibrin Babale, Alhaji Muhammed Kondoma and Hajiya Aisha Haruna Godowoli respectively, to have great roles to play to institute discipline and improve efficiency in local government administration to raise the standard of service delivery at the grassroots at large ”.
“According to him, with a sense of satisfaction that, Yobe state has performed creditably well in Hajj operations in the previous years. Indeed, we have become role model in Hajj operations in Nigeria. Therefore, much is expected from Alhaji Mai Aliyu Usman, the Chairman and Alhaji Adam Arjo Kayeri member of the Hajj Commission to contribute selflessly to further improve our already high-ranking performance”.
“As you are aware, Yobe state is today adjudged the second-best state in Sub-national Audit Efficacy index in Nigeria, the appointment of Mai Aliyu Umar Gulani, a thorough-bred professional as the Auditor-General of the State, is expected to improve our performance for Yobe State to become the best state in Nigeria”.
“Similarly, I have no doubt that the appointment of Alhaji Abbani Gambo as a member of the State Independent Electoral Commission; Alhaji Wakil Maina Machina Permanent Member of the Civil Service Commission; and Alhaji Ballama Budu Permanent Member Teaching Service Board, would be advantageous to the respective departments by the will of Almighty Allah”.
“As l congratulate you all, l equally urge you to abide by the Oath of Office and Oath of Allegiance administered to you a few moments ago. You should dedicate yourselves to the responsibilities of your offices, and contribute to the success of our administration”.
“Let me also stress that you are expected to be in tune with the policies and programmes of this administration, and to be on the same page with our policy of prudent management of resources. You should imbibe the spirit of teamwork for a collective realization of our set goals”.
