MAY 29: CLERGYMEN EMBARK ON THREE DAY PRAYERS FOR PEACEFUL TRANSITION of a new government

A team of northern Nigeria Clergies has mobilizes hundreds of clerics to embarked on 3 days fasting and prayers towards the success of peaceful transition of new government in Nigeria

Pastor yohanna buru the general overseer of Christ evangelical and life intervention ministry kaduna makes the statement during an interview with the press in kaduna

According to him it is important to offer these prayers simply because this is a transition period. Of new hope for better Nigeria.

A transition period in the sense that another president is going to take over from Muhammadu Buhari who has been leading this country since 2015.

The Christian cleric said, The second tenure of President Muhammadu Buhari is steadily running out, as Nigerians are anxiously waiting for the swearing-in of the new President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on May 29. All things being equal, the scheduled handover ceremony will be the 7th civilian-to-civilian power transition since the beginning of the present democratic dispensation in 1999.

He said, as we pray for a peaceful election in Nigeria in 2023. So also we should pray and fast for peaceful transition of a new government for better tomorrow.

Virtually every aspect of our daily lives is affected in some way by the officials we elect to govern our cities, states, and nation.

While stressing that, These leaders carry a lot of responsibility and they need strength and wisdom every day to enable them delivered the huge responsibility on their shoulders.for them to deliver.

This time, Nigerian Transition season comes amids of insecurity challenges, high cost of food stuffs, doctors strikes, and rising Fear of flood disaster in this year raining seasons.

Pastor buru said
“God will stabilise things with the efforts of the security agencies before during and after the transition period ”

Buru said, The scripture urges us to pray for the nation, our country Nigeria not excluded. So, pray for the peace of the nation for a new transition and good governance.

Adding that, prayer for our state leaders plays a very significant role toward helping new leaders for God guidance through out their stay in power.

“Dear Lord We are grateful to live in a country where we can openly pray for our leaders for better tomorrow ”

The Christian cleric said they are going to offer prayers for newly elected president Bola Ahmed Tinubu for God to lead him through out his administration.

” Dear lord our president carries an enormous burden. Give him wisdom and grace. Let him speak and act with honesty and integrity in all situations.”

” Give him a glimpse of how much you love him and how much you love the world you created”

Also we are going to offer prayers to our members of house of assemblies across the 36 states of the nation.

He said, may God always help them to “Speak to them of truth, integrity,and justice,

Give each one of them strength to reach out to those across the aisle and work together. We boldly pray that you would bind their hearts together in ways they would not have imagined”

In conclusion, pastor buru said they are going to pray for all the newly elected governor’s in the country,

Dear lord give our governor’s strength and wisdom to governed us through your help.

Dear lord, Bring to them people of high moral character and spiritual maturity.

Among the many voices which cry out to them every day, may they hear your voice above all others.

As we look to our governors for assurance and guidance, especially at times of crisis, inspire them and speak through them by the power of your Holy Spirit.
