In an effort to have a Good working relationship between the followers of the two religions the General Overseer of the Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Ministry, Pastor Yohanna Buru, has paid a visit to the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS) headquarters in Kaduna, aimed at fostering a stronger relationship between religious communities.
Pastor Buru, who led an entourage, was received by Professor Yahuza Sulaiman Imam and his management staff.
He said,the primary objective of the visit was to extend congratulations to the Registrar/ CEO of the board and to wish him success and divine guidance throughout his tenure.
Pastor Yohanna Buru emphasized that the visit marked not his first encounter with the board, as he has previously sought to cultivate positive relationships with its entire staff and management.
According to him, his rapport with the board aligns with its mission of promoting peace and unity across the nation.
He underscored the significance of the Arabic language as a universally powerful means of effective communication, capable of disseminating valuable information. Drawing from his personal experiences,
Pastor Buru recounted encounters with Christians conversing fluently in Arabic during his visits to Jordan, Iraq, Iran, and other Arab nations.
He expressed his astonishment at observing Christians comfortably communicating in Arabic within these regions.
Pastor Buru extended a heartfelt call to both the Muslim and Christian communities, urging them to continue living in harmony and mutual respect worldwide, regardless of their background in terms of tribe, religion, race, or culture.
In response, Professor Yahuza Sulaiman Imam, the Registrar/CEO of NBAIS, conveyed his profound gratitude for the visit.
He expressed his delight at Pastor Yohanna Buru’s presence and extended his thanks to the pastor and his delegation for their visit to the board.
