Kaduna PDP Postpones State Congress Over Court Order

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Kaduna State chapter said it has postponed its State Congress following a court ex-parte Order.

A statement issued and jointly signed by Hon. Bashir Tanimu Dutsinma and Hon. Abdullahi Ali Kano caretaker Chairman and Secretary respectively said the local government area Congresses was completed successfully on the 26 August, 2020 and preparations for the state Congress on the 29 August, 2020 was already at advanced stages before they were served with a court Order.

” We were served with an ex-parte Court Order today the 27th August. 2020 at about 4pm issued by the Kaduna State High Court.

“As a law abiding party, the State Congress scheduled for Saturday 29th August, 2020 is hereby postponed. A new sate will be announced as soon as possible” the caretaker committees stated.
