Traditional title holders in Kujama District in Chikun Local Government Area have been advised to inform and sensitize their people on the important need for them to obtain their buildings approval.
In a statement Signed by Nuhu Garba Dan’ayamaka, MNIPR (Assistant Director Public Affairs Unit) made available to news men revealed that
The Director General of the Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Authority((KASUPDA), Bldr. Abdurrahman Yahya, Ph.D gave the advice during a stakeholders engagement programme held in the District Head’s Palace of Kujama.
In a news statement issued to the press by the Assistant Director of the Public Affairs Unit of the Authority, Nuhu Garba Dan’ayamaka stated that the engagement programme was led by the DG to enable him familiarised with the people in the area and to also solicited for their usual cooperation and support given to the Authority.
The DG emphasised on the commitment and concern of the present government of Sen. Uba Sani in assisting the people to get their developments permits.
He therefore called on them to come in a great number to benefit from the gesture.
Bldr. Abdurrahman Yahya observed that the areas within the district which were approved for the regularization and others that were allowed to receive and processes their applications for the buildings approval like Byagi Villa, Romi, Sabon Tasha, Gwanin-Gora among others were still in low turn out to get KASUPDA’s approval, the release added.
He therefore appealed to the traditional and religious leaders in the areas to extend the message to their people to ensure every one obtained his or her developments approval which will enable proper planning, safety and security in the areas as well the state.
The District Head, Stephen Yarima Ibrahim has pledged their commitment to carrying out the message to their respective people.
Regarding this, the traditional leader scheduled to hold a meeting with his people and other stakeholders in the area to enable them discuss the issue.
While commending His Excellency, Sen. Uba Sani for carrying the people along and for the gesture, the District Head also expressed appreciation to the new leadership of KASUPDA under the Director General, Bldr. Abdurrahman Yahya for the open door policy.
