The Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KASUPDA) has provided a well equipped Geotechnical/Structural Test Laboratory within KASUPDA’s premises.
In a statement issued by the Deputy Director of the Public Affairs Unit, Nuhu Garba Dan-Ayamaka stated that, in line with the commitment of His Excellency, Governor Malam Uba Sani towards ensuring compliance with standard, proper planning, good developments, safety of lives and properties in Kaduna State, the initiative programme of DG KASUPDA, Bldr. Abdurrahman Yahya, Ph.D had successfully made the provision of KASUPDA Geotechnical/Structural Test Laboratory well equipped KASUPDA Geotechnical/structural Test Laboratory for the achieving these objectives.
In view of this, KASUPDA in partnership with Felmos Engineering Limited wishes to inform the general public, especially the developers that, in line with requirements to obtain buildings permit from KASUPDA that a Laboratory is set-up to conduct a Non-DistractiveTest (NDT), Soil Test, cube test, tensile strong test, cement test and foundation probe test, the statement added.
The Authority therefore calls on professionals in the built industry, stakeholders, developers, building materials dealers, those who require Laboratory test to use this privilege and patronise the Laboratory to making things easier and affordable prices to conduct all necessary geotechnical test for their construction projects.
According to the release also, the structural integrity test of all the on-going and proposed developments will ensure quality control and safety of our developments in the state.
