NDE enrolled 560 women, youth on vocational skills.

 

The Bauchi State National Directorate of Employment (NDE) have enrolled five hundred and sixty women and youth to key into major three projects across the 20 local government areas in the state.

 

 

Accordingly, the Directorate also disburses vocational items to twenty selected trainees who have graduated from the Basic National Apprenticeship Scheme (B-NOAS) in different vocational skills across the state.

 

 

This was disclosed by State Coordinator, Bauchi State of the NDE, Ali Lawan Yaya who was represented by the Development Officer, Inuwa Abdullahi during the flagging off ceremony of the B-NOAS, A-NOAS, Quick Fix and Settlements program organised on Friday in Bauchi.

 

 

According to him, said that” the projects was divided into three major categories with B-NOAS (400), A-NOAS (120) and Quick Fix with (40) of trainees for the period of 3 month intensive training”.

 

 

 

Yaya, further disclosed that the equipments items to be give out to the beneficiaries includes; tailoring materials, welding, berbing Saloon, Carpentry, etc emphasizing that the items is a loan not a grants on 09% interest to be pay back in 3 years starting from the month collected the items.

 

 

Telegraph interview with some of the beneficiaries, Adamu Ibrahim and Easter Madaki thanked the NDE and federal government for the gesture, and promised to used the items judiciously as it was meant for.

 

 

On their part, the people with special needs urged the NDE for more inclusion of their members in the program to enable them participants more on the projects.
