“Nigerians should rise for PDP to restore the good days” – Tambuwal urges

 

 

 

Former Sokoto state governor, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has called on Nigerians to speedily take a purposeful stand and join PDP to rescue the country from the shackles of APC bad governance.

” We are out for restoration of the missing good days.”

However, the opposition People’s Democratic Party described president Bola Tinubu’s led government as blindly braced by trial and error approach to governance.

Tambuwal spoke at the party’s stakeholders meeting in Sokoto on Sunday.

Former Minister Yusuf Suleiman, Amb. Farouk Malami Yabo, former Senators Ila Gada and Bello Jibril Gada, Elder Namadina Abdulrahman, lawmakers, top party executives among other key stakeholders were in attendance including women and youth leaders.

The Sokoto South Senator said APC and it people were ill prepared for the leadership of the country , alleging that they were only interested in grabbing power and offices but lacked the capacity to do what was required.

” We told Nigerians earlier during campaigns. Today, life is becoming more difficult and challenging.

” Nothing the current government of APC will tell Nigerians to distance themselves from the immediate past government of Buhari. They are the same”, he pointed out.

He urged Nigerians to be wiser in electing their leaders while expressing confidence that PDP was fast on track with strong unity to capture power in 2027.

” We are united and waxing stronger both at state and national levels.

Its Sokoto state Chairman, Hon. Bello Aliyu Goronyo said at a stakeholders meeting on Sunday in Sokoto, the state capital as he
insisted that the party did not lost the 2023 elections in the state but robbed of its victory.

According to Goronyo, a former Speaker in the state House of Assembly ” but we have left everything to God who cannot be questioned for whatever outcome.

” We did all we could lawfully in courts to contest the outcomes of the result but we were clipped by wide range of injustices”, Goronyo stressed.

Besides, he said the party remain resolute ,determined and resilient in unity to reclaim its mandate in the state through the ballots with the full and active participation of its members and supporters.

” We are united and formidable more than ever before. We will fully update our records of register to pursue the course ahead of next elections.”

He accused the ruling APC in the state for alleged misrule and evident failures occasioned by distortion of monumental legacies of development and the traditional institution.

” There has been non performance rather distortion of the values and respect of our traditional institution which we hold in high esteem”, the Chairman said as he vowed not to allow attempt to truncate the party’s protocols of candidates emergence for elective positions.

” We have other constitutional options but not imposition. We will allow free and fair space for our members to decide as our symbol of unity”, he said.
