The one week long training of the 33 selected youths from Katsina Central Senatorial District on Solar Powered Technology has ended on Saturday with a call on the trainees to objectively demonstrate the skills acquired in setting up relevant business to earn a living.
The youths who were selected from 11 local government areas of Katsina Central Senatorial District, acquired various skills on Solar Installation and Wiring Technology introduced by COE Jama,are, Bauchi in conjunction with EZZETZ Limited was sponsored by Senator Abdul’aziz Musa ‘Yar’adua of Katsina Central.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Senator Abdul’aziz Musa ‘Yar’adua who was represented by Alhaji Umar Faruk AK explained that the training became imperative towards curtailing restiveness amongst the youths.
Senator Abdul’aziz Yar’adua pointed out that government alone can not carter for all unless elected leaders and wealthy individuals came in
to rescue the youths from restiveness.
He enjoined the beneficiaries to objectively set up business by utilising the skills acquired. This according to him will inturn give them avenue to engage others.
Yar’adua who congratulated the trainees for the successful completion of the training, also emphasised the need for government and others to patronise handiwork of such trained youths.
The Senator also urged youths to pursue skills acquisition programmes that will assist them to earn a living rather than depending on government for employment.
He appreciated the Trainers for their patient and accomplishments and endurance within the week long period of the training.
The Magajin Garin Katsina Alhaji Aminu Abdulmumini Kabir represented by Wakilcin Kudu Alhaji Abdu Iliyasu commended the Senator for his philanthropic behaviour and charged the trainees to practically demonstrate what they acquired when they returned back home.
Also speaking, a nortable Islamic Preacher Dr. Abdullahi Yammawa spoke extensively on importance of skills acquisition quoting Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad SAW.
He also applauded Senator Abdul’aziz Musa ‘Yar’adua for becoming relentless in the activities of curtailing restiveness amongst youths, saying such efforts must be commended and charged the trainees to be serious in their respective communities.
Earlier, Engineer Femi who facilitated the training explained the methods used during the training and the performance of the trainees.
At the end of the training each beneficiary was empowered with Solar Generator and relevant Kits, N20,000 for transportation back home and Certificates as well as a bag of Semovita.
Others that witnessed the ceremony include Katsina LGA APC Chairman Alhaji Mustapha Musa Kofar Bai, Legislative Aides to the Senator, LGA Coordinators to the Senator among others.
