The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state winner of the Sokoto South Senatorial District elections.
Tambuwal, a former House of Representatives Speaker won by 100, 860 votes to defeat Senator Abdullahi Ibrahim Danbaba of the All Progressives Congress who polled 95, 884 votes.
While announcing the results, the Returning Officer for the supplementary elections , Professor Abubakar Abdullahi Bagudo said that Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of the PDP haven satisfied the requirement of the law is declared winner and returned elected.
