Comrade Iliyasu Abdulrauf Bello has been honoured for his outstanding performance while serving as the Finance Officer at National Agricultural Extension Research and Liaison Services (NAERLS).
Speaking at the award presentation held at the Institute conference hall on Saturday, 29th August, 2020 Director of the Institute Professor Mohammed Khalid Othman said throughout his stay as the Finance Officer, he displayed high level of professionalism and good working relationship with both management and staff of NAERLS,
Bello was transfered from NAERLS to College of Medical Sciences of Ahmadu Bello University as Finance Officer.
According to the some staff who attested to Mall Bello’ s commitment to duty, they said he proved to be NAERLS family member and therefore deemed it fit to honoured him as a pay back.
In his remarks, Comrade Iliyasu A Bello said he was overwhelmed with joy by the honour done to him by the entire NAERLS family even though it was not the first of its kind but this was a unique one.
He said despite his tedious unionism activities , he never loose focus on his primary assignment and that has been the secret of his success.
Bello who is the SSANU Chairman ABU Branch advised workers not to allowed themselves to be found wanting in discharging their respective duties and always show high level of commitment to the job.
Comrade Iliyasu Abdulrauf Bello was honoured along with Mallam S S Abubakar, a one time Director of NAERLS who retired from the service of the University recently.
