3 day Fiddau prayer held for Senator Wamakko’s late younger brother 

The three day Fiddau prayer for the repose of the soul of the late younger brother of Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, Alhaji Buba Dangaladima Wamakko, the District Head of Gedawa, Wamakko Local Government of Sokoto State, was held on Wedensday.

Several Islamic Clerics offered fervent prayers in a prayer session which was presided by the Sarkin Malaman Sokoto, Sheikh Buhari Siriddawa and Sheikh Bashir Gidan Kanawawa.

Prayers for the repose of the late Sarkin Rafin Gedawa, as well as the sustainable peace, unity and socioeconomic prosperity of Sokoto State and Nigeria, in general, were also offered.

In a statement signed by Bashir Rabe Mani, Dan Masanin ManiSpecial Assistant, Media and Publicity, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.

The prayer session was attended by the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Defence and Deputy Chairman, Senate Committee on Anti Corruption, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, former Deputy Governor and APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, FCNA, APC Chairman in the State , Alhaji Isa Sadiq Achida , as well as other state and local governments executives of the Party.

Others were various serving and former National and State Assemblies Members, retired and serving civil servants , several clerics, traditional rulers , politicians, friends , relatives , family members and host of other sysmpathisers, among others .

Speaking shortly after the prayer session , Senator Wamakko lauded all those who attended the event and prayed the Almighty Allah to reward them abundantly .

Senator Wamakko, who represents Sokoto North Senatorial District , also commended President Muhammdu Buhari, former Military Head of State, General Ibrahim Babangda, Senate President , Senator Ibrahim Lawan, many other Senators, serving and former Governors, serving and former Ministers, serving and retired Generals, as well as numerous well wishers led by the APC National Leader, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Others were Governor Aminu Waziiri Tambuwal and Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Saad Abubakar, among others, who condoled with him and the entire family members of the deceased , during their time of grief.

The late Sarkin Rafin Gedawa died on Monday , April 6,2020, at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Taeching Hospital,Sokoto, after a protracted illness, at the age of 66.

He is survived by a Wife , eight children , several grand and great children .

He died a day before he would have clocked six years on the throne as he was turbaned as the Sarkin Rafin Gedawa on Monday, April 7,2014, by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Saad Abubakar.

May the Almighty Allah grant him Aljannat firdaus and grant the family the formidable fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss
