ABU TENNIS COURT READY FOR COMMISSIONING

The construction of a standard Lawn Tennis Court at the Sports Complex of Ahmadu Bello University has been completed and the facility is now ready for commissioning.
In a statement From the Public Affairs Directorate,Office of the Vice-Chancellor,

The project, which was executed through direct labour at the cost of N9,035,000, started in October, 2021 and rounded off on 17th January, 2022.
A nine-member committee for the project headed by the Acting Director, Physical Planning and Municipal Services (PPMS), Ahmadu Bello University, Prof. Abdullahi Abubakar, supervised the project.
Director of Sports for the University, Dr. A. I. Danlami; the University Tennis Coach, Mr. Kenneth Samuel; and the University Campus Planner, TPL Abubakar Sani, were in the committee as members.
Inspecting the project, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, expressed satisfaction with the quality of work and expressed gratitude to the financiers of the sporting facility.
Prof. Bala, who also commended members of the committee that supervised the project for the job “well-executed”, explained that the facility would further boost sporting activities in the University.
The Vice-Chancellor urged both staff and students to take advantage of the facility for maximum sports benefits.
