…ARISING FROM THE RECONCILIATION BETWEEN THE FACTION LED BY HON. AHMED TIJJANI MUSTAPHA AND THE FACTION LED BY ELDER PATRICK D. AMBUT
Following the protracted leadership dispute within the Kaduna State Chapter of the African Democratic Congress, which resulted in litigation before the Honourable Court, the Parties have deemed it necessary to reconcile in the overall interest of the Party.
Both factions have resolved to sheath their swords, close ranks, and forge ahead as one united and indivisible political family. Consequently, the Parties have agreed to withdraw the pending suit and have amicably, conclusively, and irrevocably settled on the following terms:
TERMS OF SETTLEMENT
1. *Maintenance of Status Quo Ante Bellum:* The status quo ante shall be maintained to enable all Parties to return to their respective positions within the Party structure.
2. *Reinstatement of State Chairman:* Elder Patrick D. Ambut is hereby reinstated as the substantive Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, Kaduna State Chapter.
3. *Convening of Statutory Meetings:* Meetings of the State Executive Committee (SEC) and the State Working Committee (SWC) shall be convened forthwith, at which Members shall be formally briefed on these developments.
4. *Constitution of Congress Committees:* The Parties have unanimously agreed to constitute Congress Committees at the Polling Unit, Ward, and Local Government levels to oversee the forthcoming Party Congresses.
5. *Entry of Consent Judgment:* The Parties further agree that these Terms of Settlement have been entered as a Consent Judgment in the aforementioned suit.
The reinstated State Chairman, Elder Patrick D. Ambut, has scheduled a Press Conference to address Members of the Party and the general public on this development.
