The Member Representing Faskari Constituency in the Katsina State House of Assembly, Hon Samaila Bawa has urged the People to be alive to their civic rights and responsibilities by complementing the efforts of Gov Umar Dikko Radda towards guaranteeing safety and security of citizens in the State.
Hon Samaila Bawa gave the charge in Tafoki Ward when he interacted with the people during a condolence visit to the community.
The lawmaker pointed out that Gov Radd’s recent recruitment and inauguration of the Katsina State Community Watch Corp was a rapid response to prevailing Security Challenges debilitating development and progress of the State.
He explained further that citizens are expected to offer support and understanding to the officers and personnel of the Corp to enable prompt response to security challenges.
” We must keep our eyes open, we must monitor strangers to our communities and we should be critical to spreading rumors as well we should be providing useful information to constituted authority. In our houses and neighborhoods, we should be alive to our civic duty by doing what will enhance our collective security.” He said.
Hon Samaila Muazu Bawa informed the people that the State Government under Mal Umar Dikko Radda has made inroads in social development, infrastructure, education and economy of the state, adding that multiple options for investment from within Nigeria, Asia and Europe are heading towards the State.
On the cordiality between the State Government and Legislative, the lawmaker affirmed that the Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly Rt Hon Nasiru Yahya Daura is committed to ideal legislation that are people oriented and that which can be anchored through understanding and cooperation with the Executive.
Hon Samaila Bawa is the Chairman of the KTHA Committee on Works and Housing.
