Prof. Avidime who paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor in his office said
the university has provided higher education opportunities for the teeming young brains from the state who are often finding it difficult to secure placements.
It is also noteworthy the massive infrastructural developments that are at different stages with the campus Prof Avidime added.
Prof Avidime described the Reference Hospital as an international hospital in Okene purposely built by the Executive Governor of Kogi state Yahaya Bello to attract medical tourism to the north central state of Nigeria.
The CMD added that the mandate of the hospital is to offer tertiary healthcare services, research and training.
According to him, the hospital will provide the needed training facility for the medical college of the university as a required by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
Professor Avidime stressed the fact, that the hospital is highly available in rendering health care services at affordable rate to the staff and students of the University.
The Vice chancellor of the University, Engr. Prof. Salawu Sadiku and the principal officers of the university was on ground to receive the CMD who was accompanied by some officials of the Hospital.
The Vice chancellor who elated by the visit appreciated the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello for his outstanding performance in the area of education that birthed CUSTECH and in health that results to the establishment of the world class Reference hospital sited in Okene.
He appreciated the visit of the CMD Prof. Avidime and stated that the commencement of operations by the hospital will give an accelerated drive for the establishment of the planned medical college of the institution and also swift accreditation by the accreditation bodies.
The Vice Chancellor and his principal officers conducted the CMD and his team to the developing sites of the University where over 10 different structures for various faculties are close to completion.
