Hon. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar former Governor of Zamfara State has described the death of Emir of Kwatarkwashi, Alhaji Ahmad Umar Maikwatarkwashi, as shocking, heartbreaking and regrettable. However, as muslims we have to take death as one of those unavoidable destinies that no soul can escape.

Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar recalled the enormous contributions of the late emir in our state and national development as well as peace and unity. He described him as a very religious personality, God fearing and a committed leader who sacrificed his time, energy and wealth in propagation of Islam.
Yari, therefore, sympathise with the deceased family, Kwatarkwashi Emirate, Zamfara Council of Chiefs, Zamfara state government, muslims ummah and the entire people of Zamfara State over the great loss.
He prayed for Allah to forgives the late Emir and gives his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
He is gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. Prayer and Precious memories are what we have to remember our departed ones. May Allah (SWT) forgive his sins and admit him in Aljannah Firdausi, amin.
