Hajiya Fatima Binta Muazu, the lady aspiring to be elected member of House of Representatives has pledged to develop her constituencies in Gusau and Tsafe in Zamfara State.
She made the pledge when her campaign team paid royal homage to the Emirs of Gusau and Tsafe.
In his remark, Emir of Gusau, Alhaji Ibrahim Bello said, ” I am happy that your visit and for your boldness to aspire for a political office, despite being a Lady.
” I am also happy that your uncle who is the Mayana Gusau, Alhaji Mamman Makya led you to this palace.
” Indeed women are known to be caring, I therefore pray for you to be successful to empower the people with skills acquisition centres for they to be self reliant, especially women and youths.” He said.
In his remarks, the Emir of Tsafe, Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar Bawa said, ” I read political science at the university overseas, but the theory and practice is different from what is entailed in Nigeria and because women are not suported, that is why I didn’t indulge in active politics since.
” But this visit has made me happy, for a lady from a reknown family aspiring to represent her people is a welcome development.” He said
Fatima Binta Muazu said at the two Palaces of Emirs of Gusau and Tsafe respectively that, ” I come to formally inform you and seek for your royal and fatherly blessing as I aspire to be the representative of the people in the national assembly in Abuja.
” My ambition is to contribute my quota in the development of the area I hail from and Nigeria with peace, growth and development for the benefit of all.
” I am calling on my supporters to abide by the law, avoid confrontation and seek for votes from people based on my laid down manifesto.” She said.
