Hamza Sulaiman Faskari was born on 18th February 1979 in Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State.
He attended Faskari Model Primary School, Government Secondary School Malumfashi (JSCE), and Government Science Secondary Dutsin-ma (SSCE) before proceeding to Bayero University, Kano where he did a Bachelor of Art in History. He also bagged a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Administration from Bayero University, Kano.
He joined Federal Character Commission as an Administrative Officer in Charge of the South East Zone, State Co-coordination Department in 2011. He made his entry into politics as a Special Assistant to the Senate Deputy Minority Whip, Senator Abu Ibrahim from 2011 to 2015.
Hon. Hamza was appointed as Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Environment by Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari from 2015 to 2019 and was reappointed to serve in the same ministry until 2023.
He received the Iconic Leadership Award for outstanding achievement in the control of desertification, environmental degradation, and infrastructure development in Katsina State by the Presidential Diary Magazine, 2021.
