Parents urged to present their children for Polio immunization

Parents and caregivers have been charged to ensure they Make their children available for vaccination as Kaduna State commences another round of polio immunization campaign.

 The exercise is scheduled for 14th – 17th  May, 2022 and would be conducted on the streets, house to house, and markets, motor parks among others.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the State Coordinator, Journalists Initiative on immunization Against Polio (JAP) Kaduna State Chapter, Lawal A. Dogara.

 The statement advised that immunization would enable the children grows healthier as such parents should try and ensure they allow the vaccinators to attend to their wards.

The statement explained that all adequate arrangement had been made for the smooth conduct of the exercise by the State Government, Development partners and other stakeholders.

The statement commended the Traditional Rulers and Religion Leaders for their effort and urged them to put in more effort for the success of the exercise.

The statement appealed to eligible persons in the state to visit health facilities for Covid-19 Vaccination  The statement commended the World Health Organization for partnering with JAP with a view to educating the parents and the general public on the importance of immunization with a view to eradicating Polio and other child killer diseases.

The Statement then appealed to the ad-hoc staff engaged for the conduct of Polio immunization to be sincere in their activities for the progress of the exercise.
