WORLD BANK/ KTSG PARTNERS ON STORING GIS DATABASE ON SECURITY, TAXATION OTHERS

 

Katsina state government has set-up a steering committee on the implementation of disbursement link indicator ( DLI 11.3) of the state fiscal transparency accountability and sustainability ( SFTAS) program in the state.

The state project manager, Tpl. Buhari Mani disclosed that the program is aimed at updating the records of urban property through the enumeration of at least 50 per cent parcels.

He added ” land parcels and their structures within each of the Nigerian urban center to be stored in Geographic Information System (GIS) database for security, taxation and other uses”.

Mani therefore urged households, traditional and community leaders to support the program by volunteering Information needed to achieve the aim of the project.

He further disclosed that the executive-governor of the state, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari signed executive order on the program and the steering committee is under the chairmanship of the commissioner of finance
