Governor Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto has met with security Chiefs in the state over recent bandits attacks that claimed over 30 lives in communities of Sokoto state.
The security security meeting summoned by the governor was held in Government House Sokoto where Aliyu Sokoto vowed to make the state unsafe for bandits and other criminals.
Suspected group of bandits last Saturday launched terror attacks on communities of Raka,Raka Ditse and Fikin Gawa in Tangaza local government where scores were killed and several others wounded.
The Governor insisted that a strong synergy between the conventional operatives and vigilante organ must be strengthened against banditry in the state.
Accordingly , Aliyu Sokoto while expressing sadness of the attacks also decried the continued activities of informants which he vowed should be tackled head on to further deplete the menace.
While assuring that his administration was strengthening measures towards addressing other critical challenges faced by operatives in the state, the governor sympathised and condoled with the families of the victims of the attacks praying Allah to reward the deceased with paradise.
Meanwhile, shortly after the meeting, Press Secretary to the Governor , Abubakar Bawa told newsmen that the meeting discussed how best to harmonise strategic operational engagements through a responsive security architecture among security agencies in the state.
