Be Accomodative And Love To All – Averik

The Executive Chairman of Jema’a Local Government Council, Peter Danjuma Averik, has appealed to people in the area to be accommodative to all irrespective of religious or ethnic affiliations, to consolidate on the gains of democracy.

Averik made the appeal today, when he paid homage to the Emir of Jama’a, Alhaji Muhammadu Isa Muhammadu, over the Eid el-Kabir festival at his palace in Kafanchan.

He lamented the recent attack on Zikpak community in the area last week which led to the imposition of a curfew, and urged people to comply by government’s directives to avert a further breakdown of law & order in the Local Government.

The Council Chairman commended the Royal Father for his support to the Council, and lauded the efforts of the Governor Nasir El-Rufa’i-led administration towards ensuring peace in troubled parts of the State.

In a remark, the Emir of Jema’a, Alhaji Muhammadu Isa Muhammadu, appreciated the Chairman and members of the Council for the visit, and assured of his support towards ensuring peace in the area.

Alhaji Muhammadu regretted the insecurity in Southern Kaduna and appealed to governments at all levels to seek for ways of mitigating the crises, and added that there could be no meaningful development without peace.
He noted with dismay that almost every issues given a religious colouration, and called on people in the area to shun all tendencies that could lead to a breach of the peace.
