The Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni will construct 197Km road termed ‘Green Line’ through the Yobe State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), to provide farmers access to market and food security.
The Yobe State RAAMP’s Project Coordinator; Arc. Musa Suleh Damagum, started this when interview with our reporter in Damaturu, the state capital.
According to him, the Governor Mai Mala Buni directed that a road be constructed from Garin Alkali in Bursari local government to Mutai of Gujba local government, crossing the federal road at Ngelzarma stretching a total of 197 km.
“This road which we termed ‘The Green Line’ crosses all the three senatorial Zones in the state and will provide farmers access to market and ensure food security.
“The RAAMP upcoming 500km and several other road projects in the state that His Excellency has been delivering are part of his administration’s well-thought-out infrastructure initiative to link each of the 178 wards with a viable access road.
He commended Governor Mai Mala Buni for his leadership in making Yobe as one of the participating States in the RAAMP project centered on rural development and agricultural prosperity.
Musa Damagum emphasized that under the Governor’s leadership, the project is set to accelerate the construction and rehabilitation of critical rural roads, ensuring seamless access to agricultural markets and providing vital support to uplift the rural populace.
Expressing confidence in the Governor’s ability to deliver on his promises, Arc. Musa Damagum assured that Yobe State is on the brink of a transformative era of rural development and inclusive growth.
He reiterated that Governor Buni’s unwavering dedication to addressing the unique needs of rural communities will result in tangible and sustainable progress across the state.
