The Commandant General made the commendation in a statement signed and made available to newsmen in Kaduna by the Director General, Media and Communications, Kaduna South Divisional Command, Sharifudeen Ibrahim Muhammad.
He said that previously, residents of the state could hardly sleep with both eyes closed, and many areas such as Birnin Gwari, parts of Igabi, Giwa, Chikun, Kajuru, and other parts of Southern Kaduna were inaccessible.
According to him, this situation affected the lives and well-being of the people, as they could no longer go to their farms or markets. Some schools had to be shut down, and this also impacted the economic growth of the state.
He called on other Northwest governors to emulate Governor Uba Sani’s security model in order to achieve lasting peace in the region.
While urging the state governor to empower HISBAH in the state to complement the existing security architecture, he also condemned the brutal killing of a naval officer in the Kawo area of the state.
CG Aliyu Daura said empowering HISBAH in Kaduna State will undoubtedly contribute significantly to curbing various social menaces such as youth restiveness, drug abuse, and others.
He reiterated that HISBAH, if empowered by Governor Uba Sani, will definitely contribute immensely to the well-being and development of the state.
