ITN plans affiliation with ABU to offer diploma courses in Arabic language

 

The Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) under Islamic Trust of Nigeria (ITN) has said that plans have reached advanced stage to affiliate with Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria to offer diploma courses in Arabic language.

 

 

The Chairman, CCE Governing Board, Prof. Suleiman Muhammad
disclosed this during a courtesy visit on the Council Chairman, Sabongari Local Government Area in his office at the council secretariat, Dogarawa, Sabongari, Zaria, Kaduna State.

 

 

He said the affiliation, if accomplished, would boost the capability of the centre to offer diploma in Arabic language, apart from its existing basic, intermediate and advanced courses.

 

 

The Board Chairman solicited the support and cooperation of the council in various areas of needs to enable the centre achieve its aims and objectives of easing acquisition of knowledge by adults.

 

 

He, however, lamented that lack of classrooms remained one of the major constraints hindering the actualisation of the affiliation.

 

 

Prof. Suleiman Muhammad explained that the centre offers courses in Arabic and English languages, adding that plan was on to start offering French language as a course of study for the benefit of immediate community and the society at large.

 

 

Responding, the Council Chairman, Engr. Muhammad Usman expressed appreciation for the visit and promised to look into the demands forwarded to the council with a view to proffering possible solution.

 

 

While commending the centre for complementing the efforts of government in educating its people, the Chairman encouraged the centre to sustain the tempo for the good of the society.
