KADUNA NORTH LG CHAIR PRESENTS N4.7bn 2022 BUDGET TO COUNCIL LEGISLATORS

The executive Chairman of Kaduna North Local Government Area, *Hon. Mukhtar Lawal Baloni* has modernized the local government legislative system and presented the *four-point Seven billion naira (N4.7bn)* for the year 2022 budget to the council lawmakers for approval.

The Chairman presented the proposed budget before the local government legislative assembly which was presided over by the Speaker, Hon. Umar Iliyasu.

He said the updating of the legislative system was to ensure honest teamwork and With the further development of Kaduna North Local Government Area in the administration of the Local Government.

Speaking during presenting the budget proposal, the Local Government Chairman announced, the *N4.7 billion* budget was prepared with the input for Kaduna North people’s needs from assorted wards under the local government.

According to him, the budget is going to be funded with local government allocation from the Federal Government, as well as the internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the Council saying that, the Council was projecting an Internal Generation Revenue of N1.4 billion in 2022, To provide welfare to the people of Kaduna North Local Government Area.

*Hon. Balano* said, infrastructure, health, education, and security will get the largest share of the budget presented before the council assembly, while priority would also be given to women and youth empowerment in the 2022 fiscal year.

While receiving the budget, the Speaker, Umar Iliyasu said, the local government legislators will look into the budget and ensure its speedy passage, and to see the Local Government activities continue without any delay or any problem.

Once again the Speaker said, they are working harmoniously with the Local Government Executive Arm to ensure delivery of good governance to the people of Kaduna North.

Also, while addressing the media at the Kaduna State Local Government council chamber’s premises, the Council Secretary of the Kaduna North Local Government Area, Hon.  Mustapha Abubakar Zukogi lauded the efforts of the Local Government Chairman to transform the 2022 Budget to improve the lives of the people of Kaduna North Local Government Area, especially the lives of women and youth, and to bring about positive development in the Local Government Area.

And the submission of the  2022 fiscal year Budget was on Friday 31st/12/2021.
