The People’s Democratic party (PDP) in Kebbi State has said that it had made adequate arrangement to receive the party’s presidential flag-bearer, Atiku Abubakar, GCON, come Nov. 12, 2022.
Addressing Journalists in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital, Alhaji Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, a PDP member of Board of Trustees (BOT) and former Attorney General and Minister of Justice of the Federation, said the essence of their meeting today was to review preparations for receiving their presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
He said: “The essence of our meeting today is to review preparations for receiving our presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, GCON, the Waziri of Adamawa, who is billed to visit us here in Kebbi on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2022 to flagg-off his presidential campaign in the state.
“We have arrived at this preparations after an exhaustive stakeholders meeting of the leaders of PDP in Kebbi State.”
Tanimu Turaki recalled that Atiku’s visit to Kebbi State in 2019 was the best ever in Nigeria, while assuring the resolve of the party to accord their August visitor a befitting reception over and above his previous visit.
“So, our resolve today is to even multiply the number of people, we have sat and set-up committees that will be working 24/7 from now to his arrival and eventual departure on Nov. 12 and 13, 2022.
“From here we shall visit the stadium in Birnin Kebbi to monitor the level of work that is being done there.
“So, we want to assure Nigerians and members of the Presidential Campaign Council that the leadership of PDP in Kebbi State is ready to receive its presidential candidate,” he noted.
The BOT member assured that they were leaving no stone unturned as committees had been inaugurated, adding that it was their desire to host the biggest crowd across the country.
He listed the committees to include; the main committee to be headed by ex-Gen. Ishaya Bamaiyi, venue committee, security committee, accommodation committee, transport committee, entertainment committee and publicity committee.
