The leader of the Tijjaniyya group in Funtua region, Calipher Aliyu Sa’idu Alti, has said that they are holding a gathering to celebrate Mawlud to show their love for the greatest creation, Prophet Muhammad (S A W) for whom this world and the hereafter were created.
Aliyu Sa’idu Alti made this known at a press conference held shortly after the inauguration of the annual Mawlud celebrations held at Zawiyya on Bakori Road in Funtua town.
He added that, the effort to tour Funtua town and hold a grand gathering every year is a way to show the people more love for the Prophet Muhammad so that everyone will get up to it, you will see children in their homes and they are so excited for the day of this celebration to come and wear new clothes and go out to show their love for the Prophet Muhammad, (S A W).
Despite the current security challenges, this year, there will be at least four hundred and eighty (480) Islamic schools that will participate in this year’s event, as he told reporters.
“We have instructed those in rural and remote areas to exercise restraint for their safety and security given the current situation.
He also confirmed to reporters that the purpose of this city tour is to convey the message of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) by relying on his hadith which says that you should teach your children three things, one of which is to love the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) and most of the people we are traveling with are students of Islamic schools today.
“Even in my house, you will see children when this month of remembering the birthday of the most excellent creature comes, they get excited for the day to come and wear new clothes to show their love for the Messenger of Allah.

Messenger of Allah, that everyone should be more persistent in following the commands of the Messenger of Allah (S A W), everyone should be happy, those who have food and wealth should give out, those who are into Achaba should reduce the price of their Achaba for travellers, those who have food and drinks, and everyone in their field should contribute to show their joy with the birth of the Messenger of Allah (S A W) and let us use this opportunity as we usually do to pray for the country to have peace, stability and increased wealth.
” Return to Allah and humble yourself to Him, He will help us through prayer because He will help the security forces, the government and everyone so we are using this opportunity to use this and listen to what our Maula Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi is saying that the best of those who are sent is the one who is sent, so Allah sent the Prophet (peace be upon him) and so we parted with him, asking Allah to remove this worry of insecurity from us and to fulfill all our needs.
The chairman of the central committee for organizing the event Bashir Mohammad, who was represented by Barrister Tijjani Ahmad, said that he had planned the event,

Barrister Tijjani continued that this round that will be held is only for Islamic schools but there will be a round in the future for the Sha’irai ( Islamic singers) and the people of the town as a whole, therefore today only the Islamiyya students were allowed to come out for this round.
“As is known, it is among the rules that it is not allowed to travel by vehicle unless you come around, you will not enter the line with a car or a horse or anything else. Then there are the changes that have been made due to the road work that is being done and for security reasons as it has been further introduced as it is known that at least 480 schools have been registered, in addition to those who have come during the registration period, but we think it could be less than that because of the order that was given that many of those in the rural areas should stop, and in the rules, any mixing between men and women is prohibited wherever there is a meeting between men and women.
