Maryam Sani Abacha Felicitates With Muslims on Eid-El-Kabir, Urges Prayers for Nigeria

Former First Lady, Hajia (Dr) Maryam Sani Abacha, has extended warm felicitations to Muslims across Nigeria and around the world as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, urging reflection, devotion, and intensified prayers for national peace and unity.

In a goodwill message delivered during a media chat in Abuja, Hajia Maryam Abacha described Eid-el-Kabir as a sacred period of spiritual renewal, sacrifice, and submission to the will of Allah. She called on Muslim faithful to emulate the virtues of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), whose unfluctuating obedience remains a shining example of faith and devotion.

“This sacred season calls on all of us to renew our faith, show compassion to others, and pray fervently for our beloved country. It is a moment for reflection on our personal and collective responsibilities as citizens,” she stated.

The former First Lady encouraged Muslims to draw closer to God through sincere supplications, acts of kindness, and commitment to good deeds, especially during a period when the nation is in need of divine guidance and intervention.

She also called on Nigerian pilgrims currently performing the Hajj in Saudi Arabia to remember the country in their prayers. According to her, their presence in the holy land presents a unique opportunity to seek divine favour for Nigeria’s progress, stability, and prosperity.

Hajia Abacha further urged Nigerians to embrace peace, promote unity, and support efforts aimed at building a more just and equitable society.

“May this Eid bring joy to every home and inspire us all to live in harmony and with purpose,” she concluded.
