NAHIMS students urged to join public health institutions to rescue the profession

 

 

The National president, Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria Comr. Dr. Biobelemoye J. Josiah urged Health Information and Management students to join health institutions in order rescue the profession.

Josiah stressed this while making his speech at a 2day capacity building and leadership retreat workshop organized by National Association of Health Information Management Students (NAHIMS) at Event Hall, Ayuba Wabba House, Abuja.

He advised NAHIMS Members to exhibit themselves and embrace digital process of keeping record as upcoming health information managers.

“Read hard, so that when you come out with fresh blood you can join some of us that are retiring out so that to see public health institutions are not sold, not privatize and also not destroyed.

“The private health institutions are unaffordable, unaccessible and the job itself isn’t guarantee. Let’s work patriotically to rescue our own property” He said.

In his remarks, the Vice Chairman of MHWUN Comr. Hussain Ahmad urged the NAHIMS Members to exhibit themselves in making the use of what they have learnt during workshop and extend the knowledge to their various professional colleagues from the 36 states of Nigeria.

In his response, NAHIMS President Comr.Jibril Salihi appreciates the entire Excos and Management of MHWUN for honoring there invitation.

He said the aim of organizing the event is to build the capacity of the students and to unify Nigeria through ownership and action.
