In a significant move that aimed at strengthening the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Sokoto State and Nigeria in general the PDP Youths and Social Media Influencers held a crucial meeting on Sunday
The gathering, which brought together young political leaders and digital media and social media influencers, was centered on strategizing ways to capture power both at the state level in Sokoto and nationally in future elections.
Alhaji Atiku Muhammad Yabo, the PDP Youth Leader North-West zone, while commenting on the meeting underscored the importance of youth engagement and digital platforms in shaping the political landscape of Nigeria.
Yabo emphasized that the meeting was part of an effort to organize, mobilize, and galvanize support from the youth demographic, with a clear goal of securing electoral victories in Sokoto and Nigeria as a whole.
“The time has come for the youth to take charge. We are determined to ensure that Sokoto State, and indeed Nigeria, transitions into a new era of leadership that reflects the aspirations and needs of young Nigerians,” Yabo stated.
“This meeting is an opportunity to develop actionable strategies, build stronger networks, and engage with voters in ways that will ultimately result in victory for the PDP.”
“This is not just about winning elections. It’s about liberating Nigeria from the bondage of economic struggles, insecurity, and the growing disregard for our traditional inspirations. We, the youth, are the ones who will lead this change,” Yabo declared.
“Our mission is clear: to secure a better future for our people through leadership that understands their struggles.”
Yabo used the meeting to commend the former governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, for his commitment to empowering the youth.
The PDP zonal youths leader praised Tambuwal for creating an enabling environment for young people to actively participate in politics, a move that has helped many young leaders rise through the ranks of the party.
“Under the leadership of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, the youth have been given the playing field to engage in politics and contribute meaningfully to the development of our state and country.
This is the kind of leadership we need at the national level—one that values the contributions of the youth,” Yabo said.
Social media influencers and youth leaders also participated in the meeting, where they discussed leveraging online platforms to mobilize support and promote PDP’s message.
The PDP zonal youth leader also commends the chairman PDP Sokoto state Hon Bello Aliyu Goronyo and PDP sokoto state youth leader Alhaji Mustapha Binji for initiating this wonderful strategies
“If you could remember there was a time when senator Tambuwal was saying that any politician or leader that is leading people should make sure he carry youth along so that to emulates what is Going for future because no one knows what tomorrow is going to become”.
The strategies initiative bring more impact that produces young active national assembly menbers that includes Hon Bashir Usman Gurau and Hon Umar Yusuf Yabo that are contributing at the red chamber just for Nigeria to move forward.
The influencers agreed to use their vast online presence to advocate for party policies and increase awareness about the PDP’s vision for a better future.
