Raudah Islamic School, Lugbe Abuja has observed Walima for forty eight graduands.
The graduation ceremony and appeal fund for the expansion of the Masjid was held at the school premises in phase 1, Federal Housing Authority, Lugbe, Airport Road, Abuja.
In his speech at the event, Chairman of the School, Alhaji Mai Ali who was represented by his Secretary Malam Alkassim Yakubu said, “Forty seven student graduated after they have studied the Holy Quran, Hadith, Islamic jurisprudence and Arabic language.
“When the school nearly collapsed in 2010, Alhaji Ibrahim Anas introduced the school to Islamic Center Gwarimpa which has being consulting free of charge with recruitment of qualified teachers, retraining and constant monitoring and evaluation.” He said.
Chief Imam of the Masjid, Ustaz Harun Bolori performed the opening prayer and recited the Holy Quran.
Director of the school, Ustaz Aminu Muhammad said that they are happy to have trained and graduated pupils who have grown to students and call upon them to continue seeking for knowledge. Forty eight students graduated comprising nineteen males and twenty nine females.
A parent of one of the graduand, Alhaji Lawal Alkassim said, he is happy and thankful to Allah for him to have witnessed the walima of his son Ustaz Amirullah Lawal Alkassim and his contemporaries. He called on them to always practice the teachings of Islsm.
One of the graduant, Ustaz Mubarak Muhammad Hamza said that they have been studying from Nursery to this level for eight years now.
In his speech, an official of the school, Ustaz Suraj Oladeji who gave the vote of thanks, said, “We are thankful for the management, teachers and all those who assisted in the school, Masjid and this graduation ceremony. I am calling on the graduands to always abide by the Islamic teachings they learned”
