Sokoto State APC leader, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko on Tuesday received in audience from over 2000 members of the Medical Health personnel in Sokoto state who paid him a courtesy visit at his Gawon Nama residence.

Team Leader of the Association, Alhaji Usman Aliyu told the Senator that the group called, ‘Ahmad Aliyu Medical Aid Association, Sokoto state’, provides medical support to the people of the state as part of its responsibility to bring succour to people in the state, especially those domiciled in the rural areas.
Alhaji Usman also said despite the threat and difficulties faced from the government of the day in the state yet, they remained committed in ensuring that they achieved their set objectives.
He said, the association has 23 Coordinators and over 2000 members across the state who are working around the clock to mobilize more support for APC.
He further explained that, the association was solely an APC support group which is using its resources to purchase assorted medical equipment for its smooth operations.
Alhaji Usman later announced Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko as a Grand Patron of the association as a mark of honour to what he did to the people of the state during his tenure as Governor where many lives were impacted positively health-wise.
Alhaji Usman pledged that the members of the association would be unwaveringly committed in providing routine medical support to the needy persons in the state.
In their separate remarks, Vice Chairman of the association, Alhaji Ibrahim Yusuf and a Member of its Board of Trustees, Alhaji Shehu Muhammad Tureta informed the senator that they will not forget his giant strides in the health sector during his tenure as Governor of Sokoto state.
They revealed that during Wamakko’s regime all the 244 wards in the state had had functional and standard, world class primary healthcare centers fully equipped with facilities and professionals who manned them appropriately.
They pledged to continue working together for the victory of APC at all levels come 2023 elections, adding that, the choice of Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto as APC Gubernatorial flag bearer for the 2023 election was the right decision at the right time.
Responding, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, while thanking the leadership of the association for the visit, commended them for their commitment towards providing quality healthcare services across the state.
Senator Wamakko expressed confidence that, if Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto was given the mandate and elected as Governor of the state, he will do more in providing medical support to the people of the state.
Highlights of the visit was the presentation of medical kits to Senator Wamakko by the leadership of the association.
