Senator Yar’adua Showers Victims Of Banditry With N1.5M

In a bid to extend his philanthropic gesture to his constituents, Senator Abdul’aziz Musa Yar’adua of Katsina Central has assisted 31 victims of recent  banditry attack with over N1.5M in Jibia LGA.

The victims that benefitted with the assistance include families of those that lost their lives, injured and the familiar of the kidnapped ones.

Each of the 31 victims equally received N50,000 as a gesture from the Senator to cushioning the effect of the unfortunate happening they experienced.

Alhaji Umar Faruk AK who led the delegation alongside APC candidate for Jibia LG Council Chairmanship Alhaji Surajo Ado Jibia, L A to the Senator Alhaji Dahiru Abu Darma, Jibia LG Coordinator to the Senator Alhaji Bishir Isah Dansaraki, and Katsina LG Coordinator Alhaji Sani Bambale as well as Alhaji Shehu Yusuf  delivered the assistance.

Shortly before delivering the assistance, Leader of the delegation Alhaji Umar Faruk AK console on behalf of the Senator with the victims and prayed for repose of the lost ones and quick recovery for the injured as well as regaining freedom of the kidnapped ones.

Alhaji Umar AK however urged the victims to regard the unfortunate happening as a fate, adding that the gesture extended to them was not to compensate them, but an assistance.

He explained that the Senator was tirelessly making efforts to ensure the deployment of Army Regiment in the area considering the LGA shares common borders with Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi states and Niger Republic.

The Senator according to Umar AK, was intimating the Chief of Army Staff to ensure his dream becomes a reality.

Earlier, the APC Jibia Local Council Chairmanship Candidate Alhaji Surajo Ado talked on the positive contributions of the Senator on the fight against banditry not only in Jibia, but the entire Katsina Central Senatorial District and the country at large.

Alhaji Surajo Ado said  the Senator was also initiating the deployment of additional Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) to solidifying the fight against banditry in the area.

The Chief Imam of Jibia Central Mosque on behalf of the benefitting victims, thanked the Senator for his continued support and the concern shown on his constituents.
