A transition committee of 88 members has been constituted and approved by the Sokoto state Governor -Elect, Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto to be chaired by Alhaji Abubakar Sani Makaman Sokoto.
The committee with membership drawn from across the 3 Senatorial zones, comprised of experienced and seasoned administrators, politicians and technocrats.
A release signed by the state APC 2023 Campaign Director General and Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi said the committee with Ibrahim Dade Adare as it’s Secretary, has 4 terms of references to include:
Liaising with the outgoing government with a view to preparing a comprehensive hand over notes for the incoming administration.
Liaise with the leadership of APC in all the local government areas of the state with a viewto preparing a detailed compendium of proposed development projects that are reflective of the aspirations and wishes of the people of the local governments for preparations of development plans by the incoming administration.
Review all the campaign promises made by the Governor-Elect to the people of the state with a view to preparing a blue print for their effective implementation by the incoming administration and
Any other assignment that may be given to the transition committee by the Governor-Elect for the smooth take over of government by the incoming administration.
