Supplementary polls: Sokoto PDP seeks adequate security

DAYS to the April 15th supplementary elections, the ruling People’s Democratic Party in Sokoto has expressed readiness for the exercise with a call for adequate provision of security to ensure violent free conduct across the affected polling units.

The party also called on political actors, general public and INEC officials to ensure the conduct of free and fair elections.

The party’s state Publicity Secretary, Hassan Sahabi Sanyinnawal disclosed in a statement on Monday.

Sanyinnawal said the party was optimistic of clinching all the Senatorial and HoRs seats at the polls.

Accordingly, Sanyinnawal in the statement, urged the party’s supporters to be resilient and not to succumb to any threat or intimidation from any quarters while exercising their franchise.

The statement added” We are calling on all our loyalists and supporters to be confident and turnout enmasse and vote for all PDP candidates during the supplementary elections.”
