WELFARE TO JOURNALISTS : NUJ ZONE A EXTENDS GRATITUDE TO PRESIDENT TINUBU FOR RAMADAN

NUJ Zone A, has  expresses sincere gratitude to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his generous contribution of 700 bags of 5KG rice for Ramadan welfare to members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Zone A (Northwest).
In a statement Signed by Abdulrazak Bello Kaura Secretary, NUJ Zone A made available to news men revealed that
The Ramadan welfare, facilitated by the office of the National Security Adviser through the Special Assistant to the President on Print Media, underscores President Tinubu’s commitment to supporting the welfare of journalists in the region.
Each of the state councils within NUJ Zone A, comprising Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, and Zamfara States, received 100 bags of rice, ensuring equitable distribution among members. The NUJ Zonal office coordinated the transportation and distribution of the rice to ensure timely delivery to journalists across the region.
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to President Tinubu for this generous gesture,” said Malam Tukur Muhammad Umar, Vice President of NUJ Zone A. “This contribution demonstrates his recognition of the vital role journalists play in society and his commitment to their well-being.”
The Zonal office of the NUJ emphasized the significance of this welfare, noting that it is the first time journalists in the region have received such support directly from the presidency. He urged President Tinubu to continue including journalists in welfare packages, enabling them to enjoy the dividends of democracy under the current administration.
NUJ Zone A remains committed to serving its members and appreciates the continued support of President Tinubu and the Nigerian government.
