Thousands of the All Progressives Congress (APC) loyalists drawn from various associations today besieged the State’s Party Secretariat along Sokoto by-pass road, Gusau to ram in their unalloyed allegiance to the new leadership of the party under Honourable Tukur Umar Danfulani.

The party loyalists and supporters who came under the umbrella of their associations which include Directors General Forum led by Hon Idris Garba Rikiji, Nasarawa Burkullu Community led by Hon Shehu A Buda, Malamiyya Akida led by Alh Murtala mai Tsafe, Ex-Coucillors Forum led by Hon Tukur Abdullahi Magami, Youth Organisation, led by Alh Bashir Tela, Murtala Quanty foundation in support of Matawalle led by the founder Alhaji Murtala Quanty and Mazauna Yar’taya (Yar’taya Matawalle) led by Alhaji Bello Ibrahim Alhaji particularly commended the serene atmosphere through which the incumbent Tukur Umar Danfulani leadership emerged.
Speakers who spoke on behalf of their respective members explained that the large turn out of their members to the state party secretariat was only a selection of representatives of the hundreds of thousands of their members who were asked to remain at home.
They expressed their gratefulness to the leader of the party in the state, governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle MON for mobilizing all stakeholders and members of the party throughout the state to elect the new state executive members made up of youths who are coming with new workable ideas and innovations that will push the party to overwhelming successes in the future.
They informed the new executives that the party is now waxing stronger especially at the grassroots having drawn leaders from all levels with no one feeling agrieved.
They called on the executives in the state to continue to consult widely and be fair to all members like they have started already assuring that by doing so, the APC will continue to be victorious in all coming political processes in the state and the nation.
The visitors pleged to always support the new leaders in all possible ways so that together, the party will be stronger just as demonstrated by a former staunch factional member of the Abdulaziz Yari group and former commissioner, Kabir Sahabi Liman who denounced his former boss to pitch tent with the people oriented Matawalle-led APC in the state having realized that the Yari group is full of deception.
While welcoming the leaders and members of the associations, state Chairman of the party, Honourable Tukur Umar Danfulani who was visibly overwhelmed by the turnout of the members from only a few associations reiterated the preparedness of his team to treat all members equally and carry everone along.
Danfulani who thanked the members of the associations for the solidarity and goodwill stated that the new executives will give emphasis to discipline and respect to constituted authority while giving everyone fair treatment and hearing.
He said the executives will always lead the members to give their advises and full support to the Matawalle administration in the state especially to see that dividends of democracy are extended to all parts of the state.
The chairman also said his team will join hands with the state government to empower the youth and women as well as follow the lead in the fight against armed banditry and other crimes in the state.
