Security measures boosted in Katsina – -Deputy Gov

The security situation In Katsina State is seriously improving due to deployment of more security operatives and operational vehicles who are currently a taking the war to the enclaves of criminal gangs , especially in the frontline local governments in the state.

This was disclosed by the.Deputy Governor of Katsina State, Alhaji Faruk Lawal Jobe at Kafur during the distribution of palliative provided by Hon Shu’aibu Wakili, member representing Kafur Local Government at the state House of Assembly on Saturday March 23.

He said additional vehicles have been provided, as well as additional security operatives have been deployed to the 8 frontline LGAs, thereby taking the war to the enclaves of the criminal gangs.

Jobe envisaged that the rainy season will be peaceful so that farmers can cultivate their farmlands with little or no fear of terrorists’ attacks.

He therefore solicited for continuous understanding and cooperation of the citizens towards making Katsina State safer and better.

Speaking on the efforts of Hon Shu’aibu Wakili, the Deputy Governor, expressed satisfaction, saying it is part of the policy and commitments of the Governor Dikko Radda administration in the state, calling other stakeholders to come to the aid of the needy.

Recall that Gov Radda is being described as one of the best governors in the country, when it comes to the issue of security.

Late last year, Gov Radda launched the Katsina State Security Watch Corps, comprising of about 1,500 personnel, about 70 Hilux trucks, 70 motorcycles, and Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs).

Responding to the Deputy Governor’s address, a resident of Kafur LG, Mrs Lami Hanau, “Some few months ago, we can not sleep in our homes again because of the activities of bandits and terrorists. We used to go into the bush to sleep with our children.

“However, for the past three months we even over sleep and wake up relief in our house. We are no longer afraid because we are being secured by our amiable governor. So, we are saying, may Allah reward Gov Radda on what he is doing in the state,” she prayed.
